This is my introduction post to you guys.
My name is Rui, and I’m portuguese. I currently work at a museum, and the main project I’m involved with is the restoring of an early 1910’s industrial mill. Living in a cape area, surrounded by the ocean, my favourite hobbies, besides bike building, are surfing and fishing. I also enjoy small time agriculture.
These are my bikes:
The Red Baron
The Fat Man (check out building at http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=32043&st=0&sk=t&sd=a)
My 66’ Raleigh
All of them
All of them plus my dog
Me and my current Project, the Villiers boartrack racer (http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=33749)
OK, so now we’re taking a tour through my zone
I’m gonna show you the Cape Espichel
Everything is mostly green around here
Lots of old abandoned houses. This one was a house used by one of our kings (D.Carlos) when he came hunting in the 19th century.
If I would have taken this right turn, I would show you two dinossaur footprint tracks, but the path is rough and I don’t have mountain bikes (don’t like ‘em too many wires and strange stuff)
We’re almost there
This is a 15th century chapel built in honour of Our Lady of Cape Espichel. Almost all the capes in Portugal have building honouring cults to Holy Mary Mother of God.
Here we are
Good but dangerous spots for fishing
It’s kind of a dangerous but beautifull place
Goin’ back home
And at last, the other thing I like to do: growing stuff up
Thanks for watching guys, and keep on rollin’
