I mentioned this to slick when I was talking to him.

The whole cover my arms in chainrings tattoos is SOOOOO not my thing, but this page has a ton of really cool chainring designs on it.

Holy shit those are sick!!!!!! And I thought I had a nice collection going? There's a guy 5 mins from me that can water jet stuff like this. I talked to him at a car swap about doing some chainrings a month ago and he said no problem. He said $50 set up fee if we have the artwork and the proper overall dimensions. How about a Pedal Grinders chainring for your favorite bike! That would be sick! We could have standard or skiptooth.

Well I'm currently working off and on to get some chainring designs into Solidworks. Once I've got that, then I will do some test runs on our punch presses to make sure that everything is dimensioned correctly.

I did find a little program that you put the number of teeth that you want and it gives you the tooth layout that I can then import. This makes it really easy to do anything from say 30 to 70 tooth chainrings. Cool

With as crazy as those guys go for the 60 tooth excercycle rings, image offering a 70 tooth ring.

I can do simple designs at the shop here but the more extravagant ones would need to be laser, waterjet, or plasma cut. We only have obrounds, rounds, squares and rectangular shapes here.

This is the first one that I whipped up. Just a standard 46 tooth with a clean six spoke design

I don't care for the mostly solid design, but this was a really quick one (about 15 min). The crank holes are not accurate though and it would need a bunch of adjustments.

Who has the specifics about the club logo/artwork? Maybe a vector based artwork or the original hi-res image. Fonts used? That type of stuff.

Mr. AJ (Zoso) has the info you need. I'm liking the pedal grinders one. I have a guy that can blast it on a water jet. Any way to make the letters bigger? The less solid area the better.

Yeah, the text size could be adjusted. That was something I just threw together really quick to get an idea how something might look.

What would be nice would be to do an inverse of that, something along the lines of the CCM, Harley, and so on.

I'm hesitant to send anything to the waterjet guy until I've tested a basic one for a good tooth pattern at the shop. It doesn't really cost me anything to test one out there, but if we sent it out, then it would cost some money.

Before I try to get the punch press operator to put out one of these, I need to get my display stands finished. I have what should be the final design, but it can be a pain in the ass getting him to punch them out.
